Implementing ESG together
At SICORE, we align our actions with the ESG requirements that apply to us as a company and to our investments. Implementation is managed by our ESG & Corporate Services team, together with all our employees.
ESG in our office operations
In our office operations we avoid unnecessary travel and save electricity. Our office is almost fully paperless. These statements refer to our own sites, not to our real estate portfolio. With assistance from our ESG & Corporate Services team, we continuously refine our ESG Strategy, which applies in equal measure to us as a company and to our investments.
Our commitment to the UN Sustainable Development Goals
As part of our ESG Strategy, we have committed to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. We have identified nine of these goals as relevant to our activities, among them “affordable and clean energy”, “decent work and economic growth”, “sustainable cities and communities” and “climate action”.
Our industry engagement
We are active in sustainability initiatives and associations in the real estate and financial services industry and contribute to their technical work. Our individual memberships are listed below.
We are a signatory to the United Nations Principles for Responsible Investment (UNPRI) and a member of the German Sustainable Building Council (DGNB); this membership is not a certification of our real estate portfolio. We are also represented in the German Investment Funds Association (BVI) and the German Property Federation (ZIA).
