ESG criteria in our investment decisions
As a real asset and investment manager, we apply ESG criteria when making investments. The regulatory “Impact” and “Do No Significant Harm” criteria under SFDR feed into our investment management. Two of our funds are classified under SFDR Article 9; our infrastructure portfolio comprises onshore wind farms and photovoltaic installations in Europe.
Investments in Article 9 funds
SICORE currently manages two funds classified under SFDR Article 9 in its portfolio. The classification describes the fund’s investment objective and is not a statement about product quality. The HANSA German Social Fund invests in property, the HANSA German Logistic Impact Fund in new-build logistics projects.
Investments in renewable energy
We invest in renewable energy generation in Europe. As an infrastructure investor and operator, we run and expand a growing portfolio that includes onshore wind farms and photovoltaic installations across Europe.
CO₂ emissions in the real estate industry
We recognize the real estate industry’s immense influence on CO₂ emissions.
Witznitz Energy Park
Witznitz Energy Park was built on the site of a former lignite mine. The project includes renaturing of the site as well as the retention of existing jobs and the creation of new jobs in the region.
