Windpark Jeetze
Project Description
Location
The wind farm is located near the villages of Jeetze and Kahrstedt in the municipality of Kalbe (Milde), within the Altmarkkreis Salzwedel district. The area’s open landscape and average wind speeds of more than 7 m/s provide very favourable conditions for efficient wind energy generation.
The electricity generated is fed into the Avacon AG grid via the Güssefeld substation.
Project
Jeetze-Kahrstedt Wind Farm was commissioned at the end of 2013. All wind turbines were acquired on a turnkey basis and have been generating renewable electricity reliably ever since.
The wind farm has a total installed capacity of 15.375 MW. With a projected annual energy yield of approximately 47.5 million kWh, it ranks among Germany’s higher-yielding inland wind projects.
Wind Turbines
The wind farm comprises five turbines manufactured by Vestas:
- 5 × Vestas V112
- Hub height: 140 m
- Rotor diameter: 112 m
- Total installed capacity: 15.375 MW
The high-performance turbines harness the site’s very favourable wind conditions, enabling efficient and high-yield electricity generation.
