Project description

Location

The wind farm is located close to the Hanseatic Town of Osterburg in the Stendal district. The region benefits from highly favourable conditions for onshore wind power generation.

Average wind speeds of approximately 7 m/s support strong and reliable energy yields. The electricity generated is fed into Avacon’s distribution network via the Osterburg Süd substation.

Project

Storbeck Wind Farm became operational in autumn 2014. All turbines were acquired on a turnkey basis and have since provided reliable renewable electricity generation.

The wind farm has a total installed capacity of 22.95 MW. Forecast annual electricity generation amounts to approximately 53.7 million kWh. The asset therefore contributes to a climate-friendly and sustainable electricity supply over the long term.

Wind Turbines

The wind farm comprises nine Enercon turbines:

  • 3 × Enercon E-101
    • Hub height: 135 m
    • Rotor diameter: 101 m
  • 6 × Enercon E-82 E2
    • Hub height: 138 m
    • Rotor diameter: 82 m

The combination of proven turbine technology and excellent wind conditions enables efficient electricity generation and strong energy yields.
